Native&Sino


Hello everyone! So today I will be explaining about Korean Numbers.
There are two sets of korean numbers, Native and Sino
Sino-Korean numbers are borrowed from Chinese.

Now let's get started! 

Native
[used for Age with 살/sal, Hour of a day, Number of people, Number of things]

1     하나(ha-na)
2     둘(dul)
3     셋(set)
4     넷(net)
5     다섯(da-seot)
6     여섯(yeo-seot)
7     일곱(il-gob)
8     여덟(yeo-deol)
9     아홉(a-hob)
10   열(yeol)
20   스물(seu-mul)
30   서른(seo-reun)

+How to use the numbers

열(yeol) + 다섯(da-seot) = 15 (10+5) // yeol+daseot
열(yeol) +셋(set) = 13 (10+3) // yeol+set
스물(seu-mul) + 일곱(il-gob) = 27 (20+7) // seumul+ilgob


Sino
[used for Age with 세/se, Date, Temperature, Minutes and seconds, Money, Phone numbers]

1        일(il)
2        이(ee)
3        삼(sam)
4        사(sa)
5        오(o)
6        육(yuk)
7        칠(chil)
8        팔(pal)
9        구(gu)
10      싶(ship)
100    백(baek)
1000  천(cheon)

+How to use the numbers

싶(ship) + 오(o) = 15 (10+5) // ship+o
싶(ship) + 삼(sam) = 13 (10+3) // ship+sam
이(ee) + 싶(ship) + 칠(chil) = 27 (2+10+7) // ee+ship+chil
백(baek) + 구(gu) = 109 (100+9) // baek+gu
